check out my 360 link and the wallpaper is my tat.
i want another couple of flowers but i'm not sure what kind. i like the blue iris...but he did it kinda purple-ish. can i have it retouched with blue? would a bright pink flower look good too? and i love gardenias...any opinions on white colored tatoos? do you like my tat? i love it! i want a flower to represent each of my children, the blue iris for my oldest son, a pink flower for my daughter and a gardenia for my youngest son. if not a gardenia maybe a oleander.
thanks for your opinion and help.
What else for my tattoo?
First off, I love your ink. Very nice and realistic. Here's the thing to think about.....how are you going to connect them? Be careful mixing different types of flowers. My daughter wanted hybiscus and orchids on a tat on her foot. To link them together really wouldn't work and flow, so she stuck with all hybiscus........and added a couple of butterflies. I have a water lily as part of my low back piece and will connect my shoulder piece with water and another style lily. If you want all the different flowers, come up with a couple ideas to join them......maybe a bouquet, are they all going in the same area? Maybe a flower for your daughter, a dragon fly for your son and a butterfly for your other son? That way they could all flow together and something unique. Just to throw you a couple other ideas. I'm working on a tat with my daughters where they each pick something that symbolizes them, having it all put together, then we all 3 will get the same one. My oldest daughter and I already have the same butterfly.......different colors, different place, different tat.
You can have some of the colors changed, depending on how dark the original is and how dark the new color will be. Your artist should be able to give you some color ideas. Bright pinks would be a good contrast to blue or even the purple you already have.
As far as white for a tattoo......it does work BUT you have to be very careful not to burn it in the sun or it will fade fast. You may have to go back every couple years to have the white touched up and brightened regardless. I have white on 2 of my tats.....one is almost 7 yrs and it still looks good--like it did when I first got it. Of course I'm very careful and always use sunscreen.........burning any tattoo regardless of color is bad for it. It makes them "smeary" looking and fade.
