Reply:I assume you mean books that have a "non-linear" writing style, or even a nihilist perspective. I would strongly encourage you to check out Bret Easton Ellis. He is / was the author of American Psycho and Rules of Attraction (both made into movies). His novels have crossover and recurring characters, and tend to be darker in nature . Another author/writer that is more of a non-fiction composer is Chuck Klosterman. His work: Sex Drugs and Cocoa Puffs is more dark comedy and a "thinking" piece, rather than a lose yourself fiction novel. Good luck.
