What book or short stories would you make into a movie?

My list is:

"Jubilee"by Margaret Walker,

"The Coldest Winter Ever" by Sister Souljah,

"The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver",

"The Sex Chronicles" by Zane(only for the mature readers lol),

"The Idiot" by Foyodor Dotoevsky,

"The Catcher In the Rye" by JD Salinger--I know he did something legally so nobody can turn his book into a movie but I think the movie would be interesting.

And I wish they would make White Oleander over because even though the cast was great, they left A LOT out of the movie that was originally in the book.

Reply:id like to see one of the iain m banks books become a big budget scifi job, probably excession, although perhaps consider phlebas would make the best movie.

either that or snow crash by neal stephenson.
Reply:i think the uglies trilogy by scott westerfeld would translate really well into a movie.

also, the hobbit needs to be redone because the cartoon version we have now is horrifying.
Reply:The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter. That would be a freaky but very good (if done right) movie.

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Maguire. That would be a great movie, also, if done right.
Reply:The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

or

Abarat by Clive Barker
Reply:The series of Pern by Anne McCaffrey

And . . . . .

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
Reply:Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonflight," "Dragonquest," and "The White Dragon." And Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game."
Reply:Mister Monday by Garth Nix

Here THere Be Dragons by Owens
Reply:On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I'm amazed that it hasn't been made, considering the influence it has had on generations of youth over the last 50 years.
Reply:The catcher in the rye.
Reply:The Sara series starting with

Sara and the Foreverness of Friends of a Feather by

Esther and Jerry Hicks as a children`s movie.
Reply:I would love to see "the Time Travelers Wife" made into a movie! But it had better be good!
Reply:The Pern novels by Anne McCaffrey.

The Wheel of Timer series by Robert Jordan (though that'd be next to impossible due to the length of the series).
Reply:John Milton's Paradise Lost--if this will make it to the movies and be told substantially as in the original work, it will be at the top of the list! a gargantuan challenge it will surely be for the cast and crew..
Reply:'Haunted A Novel' by chuck Palahniuk! I have read it 3 times
