Any good books?

I will read anything really...i do not care much for series books though (like Harry Potter), but other than that, i am open to pretty much anything..some of my favourites are Catcher in the Rye, Twilight, Teaching a Stone to Talk, The Great Gatsby, Night, White Oleander, A Handmaid's Tale, Crime and Punishment , etc...so yes. please, please suggestions...i've been dying for a good read.

Reply:I just finished Palahniuk's Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey. Fairly quick read, interesting style, and a fascinating exploration of certain ideas. Good twists, unexpected w/o being completely tangential.
Reply:some of these are series books, but i think you should try them, because they are some of the best books I have read. Some might be a little young depending on how old you are.

-His Dark Materials: Golden Compass, Subtle Knife, Amber Spyglass--by Phillip Pullman

-Feeling Sorry for Celia, The Year of Secret Assignments, The Murder of Bindy Mackenzie--by Jacklyn Moriarty (these are not really a series; you can read them basically in any order, but i think that order would be best.)

-Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse--by Stephenie Meyer

-Pirate Curse--by Kai Meyer

-Water Mirror, Stone Light--by Kai Meyer.
