Looking for a good read...?

I loved Poisonwood Bible, White Oleander, What is the What...

Mostly books about people (real or fiction) who are struggling to find themselves as they face new/difficult life stages.

Any suggestions?

Looking for a good read...?
If you are an animal lover read "Marley and Me" that is my favorite book.
Reply:I recommend My Antonia and Lucy Gayheart, both by Willa Cather. She wrote in the early twentieth century, but her books are surprisingly relevant today.

I also love Angle of Repose and Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner.
Reply:I personally liked the book "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" by James Patterson

Hope i could help :]
Reply:I read one a while back called "God Shaped Hole." Can't remember who wrote it, but it was good-kinda depressing in parts. It's about a young couple they go through some rough times.
Reply:HI

I think you should read the Witch of Portobello by paulo coelho. Or the Alchemist by the same author.

Reply:If you just finished "Kite Runner" and fell in love with it, I'd recommend "A Thousand Spectacular Suns"- Hosseini's newest novel. I haven't read it yet, but it's said to be even more captivating than the Kite Runner.
Reply:well, here's something similar but different:

Reply:Hey have you read "the house of the Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer its really interesting book hear read the back.

"Matteo Alacran was not born; he was harvested. His DNA came from El Patron, lord of a country called Opium--a strip of poppy fields lying between the united states and what was once called Mexico. Matt's first cell split and divided inside a petri dish. Then he was placed in the womb of a cow, where he continued the miraculous journey from embryo to fetus to baby. He is a boy now, but most consider him a monster-- escept for El Patron. El Patron loves Matt as he loves himself, because Matt is himself.

As Matt struggles to understand his existence, he is threatened by a sinister cast of characters, including El Patron's power-hungry family, and he is surrounded by a dangerous army of bodyguards. Escape is the only chance Matt has to survive. But escape from the Alacran Estate is no guarantee of freedom, Matt is marked by his difference in ways he doesn't even suspect"

Reply:The new maximum ride books are the best! You can find them in your local book stores. (by james patterson) it's about a girl who is fourteen and when she and four other kids were younger they were taken from their parents and genetically altered. Then they begin getting tracked and attack four years after they escape. There are three books. They are action packed and really awesome! She has to overcome the challenge of taking care of all the younger children, she's the eldest, and liking this other guy while fighting off other mutant freaks! Hey, I like weird books. You may like it too. Juast check it out. #1 seller!!!
